Episode 75 – Identifying Your 40k Playstyle

playstylefoundEpisode 75 of The Independent Characters addresses the problem of Identifying your Warhammer 40k Playstyle. To help us out with this, we have our good friend Josh joining us for a good portion of the show. So often players aren't having as much fun as they could have with 40k because they are playing armies or builds within armies that go against the nature of the way they enjoy playing. We set out to identify a few of these different type of playstyles and hopefully point players in the right direction.

As the curse of Episode 74 appears to have been lifted, we also have a tremendously long Hobby Progress and Games Played section. There is a lot of good content here though, so we think you will enjoy!

Last but not least we discuss the Bay Area Open and some of the struggles this premier 40k GT had in their 2013 outing.

We hope you enjoy!

Guys, Generally I love your show. (and it's not that I didn't love this one!) Fave 40k podcast by a country mile. This episode was so what I was waiting for, but it just could have used more specific army illustrations for the newb like me. I am new to the game and trying to get some buddies into the game, and I was so hoping this would be a primer of sorts I could point them to as they get started. To be frank, the playstyle segment just wasn't long enough. Otherwise, a fine show that keeps you guys atop the heap of podcasts. Please try to keep the newb in mind as much as you can! Thanks, Mike

Mike - I think that's a fair description of the episode and a reasonable criticism. We have been pressed for time badly these last two months but after my return from the UK things seem to open up a little bit. I felt as though we may not have prepared enough for this episode going into it - and I think it showed a bit. We will endeavor to do better! Thanks for your feedback!
  3. I am also a Sisters of Battle player. What does that say about my personality? My son plays Dark Angels, what does that say about him? Good info and enjoyed the podcast.
